When The Block goes to auction it’s never going to be beaten…and it was no different in 2020.

The Block (1,610,000 [1,428,000 final; 1,792,000 winner]) does huge business, delivering the biggest finale this year, though the second-lowest finale in the 16-year history of the series. 60 Minutes (841,000) appreciated the ratings halo that helped it to some massive numbers too. Nine land first in both primary (33.4%) and network (41.4%) shares.

Beat The Chasers (583,000) did its best though landed its lowest numbers yet. Crime Investigation Australia (244,000) and a repeat of Killer Tapes (165,000) rounded out Seven’s night. They rounded out in second in both primary (16.4%) and network (23.2%) shares.

Restoration Australia (485,000) the ABC’s entertainment best, followed by Roadkill (375,000) and a repeat of Total Control (85,000). The Sound (82,000) delivered phenomenal music and performances at 6pm. ABC turn in third in both primary (9.9%) and network (14.5%) shares.

The Sunday Project (270,000 6:30pm; 325,000 7pm) 10’s best for the night, followed closely by The Graham Norton Show (269,000)…and that’s saying something. FBI (214,000) followed by a double episode of Blood and Treasure (117,000; 85,000) did a whole bunch of nothing. 10 fourth in both primary (7.6%) and network (13.3%) shares.

Heeler-watchâ„¢: Bluey (164,000 am; 139,000 pm) continues to do massive business for the ABC.

Weekend Sunrise (207,000) scrapes in ahead of Weekend Today (201,000) and Weekend Breakfast (164,000 [93,000 ABC; 71,000 ABC News]). Insiders (413,000 [260,000 ABC; 153,000 ABC News]) and Offsiders (246,000 [146,000 ABC; 100,000 ABC News]) again cement their place as a part of our Sunday morning ritual.
