A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote sees the stars of the beloved political drama reunite for the special, one hour episode to encourage voter participation in the American election.

The special marks the first time in 17 years that the original cast of the Emmy®-and Peabody Award-winning drama came together to raise awareness for ‘When We All Vote’, a non-profit, nonpartisan organisation co-chaired by Michelle Obama.

Shot over multiple days at the iconic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles in early October, stars of The West Wing including Martin Sheen, Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff and Bradley Whitford reprised their roles for a special staged theatrical presentation of “Hartsfield’s Landing”.

The Season 3 episode “Hartsfield’s Landing”, recreated for the special, focuses on the 42 votes in the remote New Hampshire town’s election, which are counted immediately and always predict the winner of that state’s primary. The episode, written by Aaron Sorkin, reinforces the importance of every single vote, while a delicate negotiation with the Chinese, who are conducting war games in the Taiwan Strait plays out.

In addition to the original cast members, A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote will feature special guest appearances, including a message from When We All Vote co-chair Michelle Obama, among others including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Samuel L Jackson, Marlee Matlin and Bill Clinton.
