Foxtel has confirmed it has signed a new broadcast deal allowing it to resume broadcasting Saturday Night Live in Australia.
TV Blackbox revealed Foxtel had been stuck in protracted negotiations to secure a new deal for the popular comedy which returned to American screens at the start of October.
The new deal means SNL will return to Foxtel this weekend. FOX8 will air S46Ep4 featuring musician Adele at 8.30pm on Saturday.
Additionally, the first three episodes from the latest season will be added to Foxtel’s On Demand platform in the following days.
SNL is returning to Australian screens at a time when the show is generating plenty of attention by my mocking craziness of the US election.
The current season has featured Alec Baldwin reviving his much-loved impression of Donald Trump alongside comedian Jim Carrey playing the role of Joe Biden.
