Based on Aldous Huxley’s groundbreaking 1932 novel and featuring a star-studded cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Demi Moore (Ghost), the brand new nine-part drama series Brave New World marks the first Peacock Original Series to premiere exclusively on Stan, as part of a newly announced landmark deal with NBCUniversal. Imagining a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself, Brave New World follows Bernard Marx (Harry Lloyd, Game of Thrones) and Lenina Crowne (Jessica Brown Findlay, Downton Abbey), New Londoners who have only ever known a rigid social order, a perfect pharmaceutical called Soma and a culture of instant gratification and ubiquitous sex. Curious to explore life beyond the strictures of their society, the two New Worlders embark on a vacation to the Savage Lands, where they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion and are rescued by John the Savage (Alden Ehrenreich). But John’s arrival in the New World soon threatens to disrupt its utopian harmony, leaving Bernard and Lenina to grapple with the repercussions.

THE GOOD LORD BIRD

Starring and executive produced by Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke, who plays the controversial abolitionist John Brown, alongside Daveed Diggs (Hamilton), who stars as Frederick Douglass, this seven-episode series is based on the National Book Award-winning novel The Good Lord Bird by bestselling author James McBride. The Good Lord Bird is told from the point of view of Onion (Joshua Caleb Johnson), a fictional enslaved boy who becomes a member of Brown’s motley family of abolitionist soldiers during Bleeding Kansas – a time when the state was a battleground between pro- and anti-slavery forces – and eventually finds himself participating in the famous 1859 raid on the U.S. Armory at Harpers Ferry. THE SPANISH PRINCESS

The Spanish Princess is the third instalment of the limited series follow-up to the Golden Globe and Emmy award-nominated miniseries The White Queen and critically acclaimed The White Princess. MUM: MISUNDERSTANDINGS OF MISCARRIAGE

The brand new feature documentary Misunderstandings of Miscarriage (MuM)follows Australian actress and filmmaker Tahyna MacManus on her four-year experience of pregnancy and miscarriage. Debuting in line with Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month this October, MuM sees Tahyna MacManus and her husband Tristan embark on an intimate journey to understand the physical, emotional and psychological impacts of miscarriage — an experience which sadly occurs with 1 in 4 pregnancies. Along the way, MacManus connects with women across the country to shed light on the issue, from A-listers such as Claire Holt, Teresa Palmer and, Deborra-Lee Furness to everyday Australians. By sharing these stories, MuM aims to open up a conversation that normalises pregnancy loss and champions progress in areas of education and legislation.

In this near-future comedy we meet partners Major and Carver, the best of the best at the Special Investigation Unit, an elite undercover police team. When Major is shot dead at a covert arms bust gone wrong, Carver is plagued by guilt. He blames his burgeoning friendship with Major’s wife for taking his eye off the ball at a crucial moment, resulting in his partner’s death. Which is why he’s so shocked when Major turns up a year later, raring to pick up things exactly where they left off. Carver learns that Major’s been resurrected using pioneering AI, but, budgets being what they are, the software still had a few glitches. So while Major 2.0 might have even more ego than his previous version, the reboot seems to have left his judgement, ability and large parts of his memory behind, making him far more of a liability dead than he ever was alive.
