Beloved Bushie’s take-no-prisoners approach to Australia’s wildest guessing game has seen her steal The Masked Singer Australia bounty from her 11 masked inmates.

Hiding beneath the diamond-encrusted helmet was Neighbours star Bonnie Anderson, who sung her way to victory with a final dynamo performance of David Guetta’s club anthem When Love Takes Over.

Urzila Carlson and Dave Hughes were convinced our convict’s powerhouse vocals were the work of Australian singer Jessica Mauboy, but it was our unstoppable celebrity sleuths Jackie O and Dannii Minogue that ended their winning streak on a high, with the correct placement of singer Bonnie Anderson as Bushranger.

Jackie O questioned whether we can expect to see Bonnie focus on singing or acting in the future. The Masked Singer Australia winner shared:

“I haven’t really been singing, Neighbours has taken a lot of my time. This has sparked a fire in me, and it’s nice to know I can do this. I can’t believe I’ve won this thing, it has blown my mind!”

In The Masked Singer Australia grand finale extravaganza, Bonnie took out the coveted win ahead of Australian singer-songwriters Kate Miller-Heidke and Eddie Perfect.

Taking the show to new heights with her regal rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, Kate Miller-Heidke’s anonymity came to an end tonight as she placed second on The Masked Singer Australia.

While she will be forever immortalised as our Queen, the voice behind this season’s stand-out moments was correctly deduced once again by FBI agents Jackie O and Dannii Minogue. Dave Hughes and Urzila Carlson fell short of the mark, respectively guessing Tina Arena and Lorde.

When asked why Kate chose to compete in The Masked Singer Australia, she explained:

“It’s super liberating. I got to leave myself and my normal hang-ups behind and step into this really strong, larger-than-life character.”

Much to Urzila Carlson’s delight, Frillneck was finally able to #takeitoff once he was announced in third place following his hot take on Devil Inside by INXS. If the imminent reveal wasn’t enough to get Urzila all worked up, she also got her first win on the board, correctly connecting the frill that gives her a thrill to Australian singer-songwriter Eddie Perfect.

Citing Eddie’s long CV of accomplishments, host Osher Günsberg questioned why Eddie would pick The Masked Singer Australia. Eddie explained:

“It was a scary thing to do, and I didn’t want to say no to something just because it scared me. I thought I would live to regret that.”

And in a bonus for fans of the format, 10 has confirmed The Masked Singer USA will premiere soon.
