PROMO – Dramatic week on THE BLOCK as COVID-19 effects production

This week will be a dramatic one on The Block with the arrival of COVID-19

In this week’s episodes, filmed in March. The coronavirus is beginning to affect deliveries, so host Scott Cam orders teams to pre-order everything they’ll need for the entire build – sending various Blockheads into a spin.

But soon that all seems secondary as The Blockheads sit in stunned silence while watching sobering address to the nation by the Australian Prime Minister.

Suddenly, the enormity and far reaching effects of the coronavirus hits home as Scott Morrison lays out a new set of rules and restrictions to quell the spread.

Large public gatherings are restricted, but the Block’s allowed to continue. The couple’s thoughts immediately go to their families and Scott offers Blockhead parents to bring children to the Block as bathroom planning continues.

The Block airs Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on Nine
