SBS has announced the appointment of Matthew Hancock to the role of General Manager, SBS On Demand.

Matthew moves into the role from his current position as the Head of Priorities and Planning for SBS’s TV and Online Content Division where he leads project management and analysis functions, and has been  instrumental in building and refining the strategic approach across the SBS television and digital portfolio, including aspects of SBS On Demand.

His appointment to SBS On Demand comes as SBS has surpassed eight million registered users, and earlier this year also became the first media operator in Australia to offer in-language login and navigation, with users able to login to SBS On Demand in Simplified Chinese and Arabic, with more languages to come.
