New French political thriller SAVAGES arrives at SBS On Demand

This week will see the Australian premiere of French political thriller drama series Savages.

Present-day France. The first presidential candidate of Algerian descent is on the brink of power.

But on the night of the election, he is shot, bringing turmoil to two families and the entire nation. Savages is a thriller and family saga, reflecting on France’s contemporary identity.

A political drama, Savages stars Roschdy Zem as Idder Chaouch, a politician who is on the verge of becoming the first Maghrebi person to win election as President of France, but whose campaign may be undone by family and racial politics after an assassination attempt is made on his life.

The series will stream in French with English subtitles.
