We Hunt Together is an audacious new drama about what happens when two profoundly damaged people collide and finally speak the unspoken, giving each other permission and reason to act out their most violent compulsions.

Eve Myles (Keeping Faith), Babou Ceesay (Dark Money), Hermione Corfield (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Dipo Ola (Inside No 9) star in We Hunt Together, a gritty cat and mouse thriller that explores the dangerous power of desire and what happens when two profoundly damaged people meet and reawaken their latent capacity for violence.

When Freddy (Corfield), a troubled young woman, is nearly assaulted outside a nightclub, the toilet attendant steps in to help. Baba (Ola), a former child soldier, acts with swift, unstoppable brutality.

She’s entranced. The pair form an instant intoxicating connection. Something dark within both of them quickly emerges. Soon they set about exacting revenge on people from Freddy’s past – Baba’s skill for violence and Freddy’s tinge of psychopathy prove a lethal combination.

But they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Can dysfunctional detectives DI Mendy (Ceesay) and DS Franks (Myles) set aside their opposing views long enough to catch the deadly duo?

Writer Gaby Hull says:

“I’ve always been interested in the idea of free will and how much control we have.  I wanted to write a show that tested that theory by showing the most extreme and dark human behaviour, while asking the audience to have some level of sympathy with the people who commit those deeds.

There is a real warmth going through it as well.  It doesn’t take itself too seriously. We’re trying to get the balance of the dark and the light.”

WE HUNT TOGETHER will air on Saturdays from August 22 on BBC First
