Hillary reveals an intimate portrait of a public woman, exploring how Hillary Clinton has become one of the most admired and vilified women in the world. The series masterfully interweaves revealing moments from never-before-seen 2016 campaign footage with biographical chapters in her life. The series features rare and personal interviews with Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, friends, journalists, colleagues and Hillary Rodham Clinton herself.

Directed by Nannette Burstein and praised by The New York Times as being “revealing and insightful”, Hillary made headlines around the world when it premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Nominated for a 2020 Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction series, Hillary gives an insightful and prevailing portrayal of Hillary Clinton’s life and legacy.

Season four of internationally revered series The Good Fight premieres directly after Hillary from 9.30pm on Wednesday 23 September. The first episode kicks off in an alternate reality where Hillary Clinton has been elected president. The new season sees Reddick (Louis Gossett Jr.), Boseman (Delroy Lindo) and Lockhart (Christine Baranski) navigating a very different landscape after losing their biggest client, consequently forcing them to accept an offer to be a small subsidiary under a huge multinational law firm. This season will feature the exciting addition of Hugh Dancy (Hannibal, Homeland) and the return of The Good Wife veterans Michael J. Fox and Zach Grenier.

This seven-episode season of The Good Fight explores the American political climate, entwining storylines inspired by real societal issues such as censorship, fake news and terrorism. The timely series will air on SBS and SBS On Demand in the lead up to the 2020 United States Presidential Election, with the final episode airing on Wednesday 4 November.

Hillary and The Good Fight will join two brand new political dramas premiering on SBS On Demand this September, including French series Savages and compelling Norwegian thriller Witch Hunt. Six-part political thriller Savages follows an assassination attempt on the President of France. Captivating Norwegian series Witch Hunt is based on the true story of a woman’s whistleblowing incident against a prestigious law firm. Both series will drop on SBS On Demand on Thursday 10 September.

Audiences will be able to watch the second season of seductive Spanish thriller The Pier as it returns with more drama, mystery and scandal on Thursday 17 September. As well as the new icy thriller The Head, filmed in the Canary Islands and Iceland, this murder mystery follows three separate timelines and explores the conflicting testimonies of the last two survivors of an Antarctic mission. The first season will premiere on SBS On Demand on Tuesday 25 September.
