It’s a tough time out there right now. The 6pm news is full of so many horrible stories.
As Victorians head into Stage Four lockdown, Ticker wants to provide Australians with some news to smile at, so the independent streaming service has decided to launch a brand new show, Ticker’s Good News – hosted by the smiliest guy we know, Mike Loder.
He’ll cover the stories that make us smile. Stories about human success, the entrepreneurs, the people trying hard to make our livers better.
Ticker’s Mike Loder says:
“There feels like there is so much bad in the world. But for every bad story there are many more we want to discover and share.
“It can be hard to find things to smile about when you’re in lockdown, but I reckon if you smile at strangers, they might smile back,”
Ticker’s Good News will be produced every Wednesday, and will be available on Ticker’s live stream and on the app for download, as well as across Ticker’s social media – #tickertvau
It will cover the latest developments in technology, business as well as entertainment. The good news stories out there right now.
Ticker CEO Ahron Young says:
“When Mike and I first chatted about the idea, he told me that it takes fewer muscles to smile than it does to frown. Following several minutes of me threatening him with dismissal if he persisted with such lunacy, he convinced me that we probably all need a good laugh.”
“Every time Mike rocks up to the studio, within seconds he all has us smiling. And we want to share his optimism with Australians who are doing it tough. A bit of sunshine during a dark winter..”
