Randy Farmers help deliver strong ratings result for Seven in Week 31

Week 31 of the TV ratings year has now been run and won and for the eighth straight week, victory has been claimed by the Seven Network.

The premiere of Farmer Wants a Wife delivered a significant boost for Seven, adding to the success of its News, Multi-channels and AFL.

Farmer Wants A Wife got off to a strong start on Sunday, with an audience of 1.400m national/ 908k metro, the Sunday episode was the top entertainment show for the week nationally.

Season four of Australian Ninja Warrior launched on Sunday night with an audience of 1.376m nationally / 1.040m metro. Making it the number one entertainment program in metro markets.

Bachelor In Paradise struggled against Farmer and Ninja, but performed much better on Wednesday with 741k nationally / 600k metro.

Without the lead-in from MasterChef, Have You Been Paying Attention? was also down considerably compared to past weeks with 775k nationally / 597k metro.

Saturday night’s AFL match was the top sport of the week, scoring an audience of 730k national / 527k metro.

7NEWS was the top show nationally every night, with Monday-Friday at 6.00 averaging 1.769m national/ 1.135m metro. Nine News was the winner in the key three East Coast metro markets

Sunrise continued its dominance at breakfast, winning every morning, with Monday-Friday averaging 490k national/ 286k metro. ABC News Breakfast finished in second place (averaged across two channels) with Today in third.

Home and Away was the top Australian drama averaging 969k national / 596k metro Monday-Thursday. Between Two Worlds premiered to an audience of 672k national / 419k metro.

Better Homes and Gardens was the top lifestyle show, with an audience of 917k national / 541k metro. The Living Room had 517k nationally / 373k metro.
