Lisa Wilkinson in the spotlight for series return of ANH’S BRUSH WITH FAME

Anh Do returns to his painting studio next week with ten captivating Australians for the much anticipated fifth series of Anh’s Brush With Fame.

Anh invites his guests to join him for an in-depth conversation that will inform how he will represent them on the canvas. The charismatic comedian, writer, Archibald Finalist and People’s Choice winner delves behind the public profile of his subjects to learn about the inspirational, heart-warming and occasionally deeply emotional stories that have shaped their lives.

Episode one will feature journalist and host of The Sunday Project, Lisa Wilkinson. From her first break at 21 as editor of Dolly to life in the spotlight on commercial TV, her success and integrity has seen her become a strong voice for women. How will Anh capture her warmth, humility and fighting spirit?

Everyone has a story to tell about the people and stories that have defined them. In future episodes, Jockey Michelle Payne shares how she beat the odds to become the first female rider to win the Melbourne Cup.

Olympic track-cycling champion Anna Meares lays bare her extraordinary story of sacrifice, triumph and loss, while 2019 Australian of the Year Dr Richard Harris recounts in gripping detail his heroic role in the rescue of the Wild Boars soccer team from the Thai cave, an event that captured the attention of the entire world.

With Jack Thompson, Deborra-Lee Furness, Sophie Delezio, Father Bob Maguire, Layne Beachley and Todd Sampson, Anh enjoys intimate and often revealing conversations with his guests – but how will they react when he presents them with their portrait?

Anh’s Brush With Fame – Tuesday 4 August 8.00pm on ABC
