Looking for your next addictive series to transport you to another time and place? Then look no further than 10’s new majestic drama Beecham House.

Set in 1795 India, amidst the clashing forces of British and French militaries and the decline of the centuries-old Mughal Empire, Beecham House tells the story of enigmatic Englishman and former East India Company soldier John Beecham.

Beecham, a brave and honourable man haunted by a dark past, arrives at his grand new estate on the outskirts of Dehli, hopeful for a fresh start for he and his young son August. The presence of the Englishman and his son, who is of mixed parentage and with no apparent mother, is more than just a surprise to the staff—it’s a mystery that only deepens as Beecham falls for independent and talented English governess Margaret Osbourne.

Beecham’s plans for a prosperous and peaceful future are thrown into jeopardy as alliances are forged and betrayals mount.

Will he have to risk his freedom to protect those that he loves?

Beecham House is created directed by multi award-winning director Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham, Bride & Prejudice) and stars Tom Bateman (Murder On The Orient Express, Snatched) as John Beecham, Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey) as Henrietta Beecham, Dakota Blue Richards (The Golden Compass) as Margaret Osborne, Leo Suter (Sanditon) as Daniel Beecham, Viveik Kalra (Blinded by the Light) as Badal and Australian actress Pallavi Sharda (Lion, Les Norton) as Chandrika.

The series is from award-winning production company Bend It TV, part of the Fremantle production family, and has been nominated for Costume Design at the 2020 Bafta TV Awards.
