Just how many people will watch the premiere of Big Brother on Seven?
Its the question that has got all of us punters curious, and is no doubt causing plenty of nerves in the Seven boardroom.
Personally, I’m predicting the episode to average around 794k metro for its premiere. Yes, the advertising campaign has been massive, and there is definitely plenty of public interest. But Monday is one of the most competitive nights on TV with The Voice, Masterchef, HYBPA, Australian Story and Four Corners already well established with audiences.
Across the TV Blackbox family opinions are divided. Rob McKnight is predicting ratings to fall between 650-700k. Similarly, our viewers advocate Steve Molk thinks 680k will be the final number.
Former Big Brother winner and Ben, Rob and Robbo host, Benjamin Norris is predicting the show will do low 700’s, while hoping it will go closer to 1 million.
Our TV Guide editor Aaron Ryan is far more positive, believing the premiere could go as high as 910k. Podcast regular Stephen Brook is even more bold predicting 950k. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Leah Rocke is predicting fatigue with isolation will see the show crash and burn at 450k
But of course, it’s your opinions that really matter so please hit us up in the comments below and tell us your 5-City Metro prediction. Closest to the final number will be crowned the winner and receive all the glory.
860000
650k for launch with numbers in 300-450k regular – I just think they’ve tinkered too much and it’s not what viewers will want to watch
750K
890k
834k
I’m thinking close to 560k
800K
926k
Wow, I was close to the eviction figures of 930k
I think the fact it’s starting on a public holiday on the east side is not going to help wth the ratings for tonight. Whilst they have done a lot of promos for a long time, a show like this requires people to hear it on the radio that day at work and for everyone at their desks to talk about it so you know to turn it on that night. So I think the ratings will be 600K. But after going back to work and everyone who watched it talks about it, the ratings will increase to 800K. And if the quality remains full of suspense, then it could stay around 600-800K with hopefully a finale of 900K, but if it becomes too edited and lackluster it could drop to most episodes being around 300K.
I’m a big BB fan though, and wish for high quality and high ratings.
300k I think BB will crash and burn and it will be bumped
570k not targeting older people and public holiday
650, declining to 500. It was utter crap.
I think it will go pretty good, 912K..
Don’t care as I have better TV to watch.
People still watch linear tv in 2020 ??
People still watch mainstream media in 2020 ??
