TV BLOOPER | Robotic camera almost knocks out weather presenter

Things went a little haywire on ABC NEWS BREAKFAST when an automatic camera nearly ran over weather presenter Nate Byrne

Nate Byrne happy to survive his run-in with the robotic camera

The incident happened during a normal weather segment as Byrne was presenting the weather forecast.

As the automated camera came into shot Nate held his ground and simply said;

“Excuse my camera, get out of it”

To make sure he could be seen clearly viewers, Nate then took a step to the right, away from the camera, which eventually left the shot.

Robotic cameras on studio floors are controlled by the technical director in the control room and typically use pre-programmed shots. Its assumed the macro for the position the camera uses at other times was pushed a little too early in this case.
