Although it is a tough time in the industry with many shows shutting down, Nine has weathered the storm, at least for Quarter 2, with a number of shows already finished filming and ready to air in full.

Informer 3838 is based on the sensational story of Nicola Gobbo (Ella Scott Lynch) who was the go-to defence lawyer in Melbourne’s deadly gangland wars, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Carl Williams, Tony Mokbel, the Morans and the Carlton Crew while she acted as a police informer on her own clients.

Informer 3838 marks the return of familiar names from Underbelly, including Gyton Grantley (House Husbands, The Dressmaker, Balibo) who reprises his role as Carl Williams and Robert Mammone (Fat Tony & Co., Mystery Road, Water Diviner) who is back as Tony Mokbel.

Lego Masters

LEGO MASTERS Australia returns for its second season with some of the most skilled builders from around the country battling it out to be crowned the LEGO MASTERS. Brimming with imagination, creativity and LEGO knowledge, eight teams in pairs will put all their construction skills to the competitive test and build some of the most incredible designs we’ve ever seen.

These teams will compete in different challenges each episode as they show off their unique skillsets to surprise and impress our host, Hamish Blake, and the judge, Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught. Along the way they will face elimination as they compete for the chance to win $100,000.

The Voice
Returns after Lego Masters concludes

McMullen returns to the show after having hosted the first four seasons of The Voice Australia as well as The Voice Kids, and having played roles in the Logie award-winning drama House Husbands and SeaChange, both on Nine.

Kelly Rowland, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, and the reigning winning Coach Boy George all return to battle over the next wave of breakout artists, with plenty of surprises in-store.

Doctor Doctor
Wednesdays at 7:30pm

The show had been on hiatus due to Nine’s COVID-19 coverage, but Nine has returned the show to Wednesdays joining Paramedics.

In the week commencing April 19th and then April 26th there is not a single minute of first run content on the channel between 7:30pm and midnight on any night.

Warner Brothers told TV Blackbox that Nine still do own the rights to the US versions of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, despite the network not airing them at all, either on broadcast or 9Now.

Nine were asked to comment on why the shows were not screened and they declined to comment.

Season 1 of The Taste aired on 9Life. Nine were asked if they own or plan to show season 2 and the network declined to comment.

Married at First Sigh UK has previously aired but Nine would not comment on the screening of season 2.

9 RUSH

9 Rush has begun programming with a suite of first run shows. At the time of this publication, no shows had pulled from the schedule and most will remain the schedule for Q2.
