An ANZAC Commemoration Like No Other.
In an unprecedented time, we are encouraged to unite, commemorate and acknowledge the ANZAC spirit, albeit in self-isolation.
Opening with a scaled-back Anzac Day Commemorative Service from the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Studio 10 host Sarah Harris, alongwith 10 News First National Affairs Editor Hugh Riminton, will join Australians and neighbourhoods across the nation as they light up the dawn and pay their respects to our diggers from their driveways.
The special featuring poignant and uplifting messages from around the world, will cross to reporters in every state to show how Australians are paying their respects in lieu of traditional commemorative events.
As the nation honours those who have served or are currently serving Australia, Studio 10 Presents: ANZAC DAY 2020 will check in with official commemorations and ceremonies across the country.
Veterans past and present will feature, including renowned commando Damien Thomlinson, appearing live from his driveway.
James Morrison will rouse patriotic pride with a rendition of The Last Postand there will be a powerful arrangement of I Was Only 19 by John Schumann.
Other guests include Soldier On ambassador James Milliss discussing the supportive community of Australian Defence personnel, plus singer-songwriter and Vietnam veteran Normie Rowe.
Studio 10 Presents: ANZAC DAY 2020 will air live on 10 at 5.25am in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, 4.55am in Adelaide and 3.25am in Perth, and will be streamed live on 10 Play, with highlights available on 10 Daily.
An extensive round up of this memorable day in Australia’s history will feature in a special extended edition of 10 News First at 5.00pm with Chris Bath in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane and Narelda Jacobs in Perth.
