Australia’s number one kid’s show Bluey is coming to CBeebies from next month with Series One screening on the channel from May 4th.

The loveable family of Heelers – Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli – have won the hearts of kids and their parents around the world since it first launched in Australia two years ago, fast becoming a global phenomenon.  Bluey has scooped up numerous awards including an International Emmy and a Logie, is enjoyed by families as far away as US, Canada, UK, Middle East and China and has a host of famous fans including ex- Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

This funny and honest look at modern family life celebrates play and helps shape the imagination of children. Australian blue heeler puppy Bluey has a boundless imagination and loves to turn daily life into playful adventures. She and little sister Bingo throw themselves into exploring their world, using gameplay to conquer their fears and try out adult roles. And they like nothing more than pulling their parents – particularly Dad – into their fun and games. Mum Chilli’s gone back to work and Dad Bandit juggles childcare with working from home. But though he might think he’s in charge, the girls are definitely calling the shots when it comes to playtime – and pretty much everything else!

Among the voices who might sound familiar to parents are Bandit, played by Dave McCormack, frontman of Brisbane nineties rock band Custard, and Calypso voiced by Megan Washington.  Myf Warhurst plays Trixie and Layne Beachley lends her voice to a surfer Bluey meets at the beach.

Two new episodes from Series One will screen each weekday at 7.30am and 5.15pm with the first 26 episodes available to stream On-Demand from May 4th.

Bluey is produced by the Emmy® award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children’s and BBC Studios. Both series received production support from the Australian Government through Screen Australia, and Queensland Government through Screen Queensland.
