Angie Kent Waltzes Out Of The Competition.

In tonight’s spectacular episode of Australia’s favourite dance show 10’s Dancing With The Stars, Angie Kent and partner Julian Caillon performed their final dance.

Despite Angie’s heartfelt performance of the waltz in celebration of her most memorable year, it sadly wasn’t enough to keep her in the competition.  On leaving the show Angie said: “You can’t win them all, I tried!”

Emotion was in the air tonight as our nine remaining celebrities bared all on the dance floor. They jived, waltzed and quickstepped their way in front of the judges and the whole of Australia to tell the stories of their most memorable year.

Chloe and Dami danced their way to the top of the leader board with a score of 24 respectively.

Winning the judges over with her emotional routine dedicated to her mum, Olivia Newton-John, Chloe’s touching routine was a crowd favourite, and Tristan praised their contemporary routine in true Aussie style when he said: “It’s like a sausage sizzle at Bunnings, I just can’t get enough!”

Dami demonstrated how far she has come with an outstanding contemporary routine about her breakthrough audition on The X-Factor.

In a moment that captured the hearts of Australia, and our judges, Claudia Karvan took to the dance floor to tell the story of her brother Rupert’s battle with schizophrenia. Scoring 23 for her quickstep, Sharna had nothing but praise for Claudia. Sharna said: “I was captivated by the storytelling. This is some of the best work I have seen you do.”

The biggest surprise package of the night was Christian Wilkins, who foxtrotted his way to glory with a touching and emotional tribute to his younger self with a Disney inspired foxtrot. His proud father, Richard Wilkins, was in the audience and was bought to tears watching his son dance live for the first time.

Following her impressive performance last week, unfortunately Celia Pacquola struggled to find the beat this time around. Her samba failed to impress the judges scoring 16 overall. While her independent woman was out on show, Sharna said: “I love the message behind the dance but something was missing. I didn’t see the Celia that we’ve seen in weeks before.”

With Angie no longer in the competition, eight celebrities are left to bring the heat next week with sizzling hot Latin night. Don’t miss any of the action next Sunday night on 10’s Dancing With The Stars.
