If buying fresh and local produce from your favorite weekend farmers market is a top priority for you, SBS is your destination to be this October. Celebrity chef and TV presenter Ainsley Harriott is all set to take you on an incredible culinary experience via some of Australia’s popular farmers markets.

Get ready to visit six of Australia’s unique and diverse fresh produce markets with Ainsley on his first-ever Australian travel culinary series – Ainsley’s Australian Market Menu. The six-part series will air Thursdays at 7.30pm on SBS from 10 October and encore Sundays at 7.30pm on SBS Food from 13 October.

Ainsley’s Australian Market Menu will see Ainsley traversing Australia on a fun-filled food adventure through fresh produce markets across the country. Armed with a few pots and pans and a hunger for the best fresh produce, Ainsley will arrive at each market at dawn with only a few hours to explore the market, find his ingredients and conceive some quick and delicious dishes to win over the crowds. Drawing inspiration from the location, its people and its produce, Ainsley will aim to push the boundaries of the local culture with his innovative food creations.
