One of the greatest rivalries in sporting history takes centre stage on Men’s Semi-Finals Day at Wimbledon, as tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal renew their long-running on-court duel on Friday night exclusively live on Seven.

Federer (20 titles) and Nadal (18) are No.1 and No.2 on the all-time Grand Slam singles list, but their greatest legacy will be the epic battles they have waged. In pushing each other to the absolute limits of skill, will, nerve and endurance, their matches have often transcended mere sporting contests and left fans with everlasting memories.

The pair have a rich history at Wimbledon, having clashed in three consecutive finals from 2006-2008. Federer triumphed the first two times, but Nadal got his revenge in the trilogy’s final chapter, prevailing 9-7 in the fifth set of a match widely considered one of the greatest ever.

Eleven years on, Federer and Nadal will meet again on Wimbledon’s centre court, this time for a place in the 2019 final. With history on the line, they’re bound to produce another classic.

Earlier, world No.1 Novak Djokovic takes on 23rd seed Roberto Bautista Agut, with the defending champion just two wins away from claiming his fifth All-England crown.

Bautista Agut is playing his first Grand Slam semi-final, but the Spaniard has dropped just one set in the tournament to date, and toppled Djokovic in their previous two encounters, at this year’s Qatar Open and the ATP Masters in Miami.

At 8.00 AEST, Aussie star Dylan Alcott and Britain’s Andy Lapthorne meet Japan’s Koji Sugeno and American David Wagner in the final of the men’s quad wheelchair doubles, which will be streamed live on 7plus and the 7Sport app.

The commentary team consists of a host of the biggest names in tennis, including John McEnroeBoris Becker, Martina Navratilova, Tracy Austin and Tim Henman.

All singles and doubles finals, as well as the singles semi-finals, will be exclusively live on Channel 7, 7TWO and 7mate.

Fans can also stream Wimbledon live on 7plus and the 7Sport app, and catch up on all the highlights and interviews on the app.
