One of the most intense rivalries in world sport will be coupled with the pressure of elimination when Australia takes on England in the second semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup, LIVE from 6.30pm, on FOX CRICKET tomorrow – Thursday, July 11.

Both teams will attack with all guns blazing in their first meeting in a World Cup semi-final since 1992, with the winners booking their spot in the World Cup Final on Sunday against the winner of tonight’s rain delayed semi-final between India and New Zealand. Coverage of the India vs New Zealand match will commence at 7.00pm with LIVE and ad-break free match coverage from 7.30pm.

Then tomorrow night, all eyes turn to Australia’s semi-final against England. In studio to preview the match will be FOX CRICKET expert commentators Mike HusseyKerry O’KeeffeChris Lynn and host Brendon Julian who will provide an hour of pre-game analysis before LIVE and ad-break free match coverage begins at 7.30pm AEST.

FOX CRICKET expert commentator and 2007 World Cup winner, Mike Hussey, said: “The rivalries don’t get any bigger than this - Australia vs England and the pressure is huge. On one side the Aussies will be frustrated by not securing top spot after losing to South Africa, but they need to put that aside and focus on the job at hand.”

“Losing Usman Khawaja to injury leaves a hole in the batting line-up however Matthew Wade and Peter Handscomb can fill that void, but it’s really going to be up to our bowling attack to terrorise England and turn the screws with some crucial early wickets.

“On the other hand, England, with the national criticism still fresh in their minds after losing to Australia in the group stage, will get their shot at retribution and it’s now or never. They have not won a knockout match at the World Cup for 27 years which is further fuel for the fire. Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes are the danger men and the home crowd will be at full voice to get their side into a home final.”

The ICC Cricket World Cup Final at Lord’s will be shown on Sunday, July 14 with coverage from 6.30pm on FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel, and LIVE match coverage with no ad-breaks during play and in HD from 7.30pm.
