Cold Feet star HERMIONE NORRIS takes lead role in SEVEN's intense new drama BETWEEN TWO WORLDS
English born actress Hermione Norris, best known for her roles in Cold Feet and Luther has been confirmed for the lead role in SEVEN’s new high-concept Australian drama Between Two Worlds.
Between Two Worlds is the latest series from one of Australia’s most prolific creator/writers Bevan Lee, whose credits include Packed to the Rafters, A Place To Call Home, All Saints, Winners & Losers, and Always Greener.
Filming commenced this week in Sydney on the drama which has been described as an intense, emotionally gripping, fast paced, high concept contemporary drama series that will push the boundaries of popular commercial drama in Australia.
Norris will play Cate Walford, whose relationship with vicious, business tycoon husband, Phillip, is on the ropes and sees a tempestuous home life trapped in a tangled web of lies and manipulation.
Through a shocking twist of fate, this dark and murky world collides with the seemingly disparate and disconnected, warm and loving world of a widow and her footy star son and musical daughter. Destructive secrets are soon unearthed proving nothing is quite as it first might appear.
Norris confirmed she was joining the series, telling Deadline;
“I am always script-led in decision making and I found Bevan’s script full of well-drawn characters and a page turning narrative – it was a really entertaining read, and fun for me to consider something a little bit different. I think audiences will love the colour and vibrancy of this thrilling and complex narrative .”
The impressive cast also will also feature Hacksaw Ridge’s Phillip Quast, A Place to Call Home’s Sara Wiseman and Wentworth’s Aaron Jeffery as well as up-and-coming actors Tom Dalzell, Melanie Jarnson and Megan Hajjar.
Between Two Worlds is being produced by Seven Studios for the Seven Network and is expected to air in Australia late in 2019.
