It’s been the most anticipated TV interview ever since she returned to Australia in 2017 and now Schapelle Corby is ready to talk.
TV Blackbox can exclusively reveal Schapelle Corby’s first TV interview will take place on Channel 10’s morning show Studio 10 on Wednesday 30 October.
It’s a major coup for the show and 10 says “no topic is off-limits”.
Sources tell TV Blackbox no money was paid for the interview, it is part of the promotional tour Corby is doing for her updated autobiography Schapelle Corby: My Story.
It’s believed Corby chose the morning TV show on advice from her sister Mercedes, who appeared on the program in 2017. Mercedes is said to have enjoyed the experience with the Studio 10 hosts and crew. At the time the interview was widely reported and Mercedes had the opportunity to show her other side while participating in HOT TOPICS and feature segments while serving as the 5th panellist.
Network sources have revealed to us the production team from The Project were also chasing the interview but missed out to Studio 10.
Executive Producer Tamara Simoneau told TV Blackbox:
“Our show is the place to come for a candid and real conversation. We pride ourselves on presenting a wide range of views in our uniquely Studio 10 way, and our hosts are keen to ask Schapelle all the questions the country wants to know.”
It will be fascinating to see how Corby performs live on air.
