It was a massive weekend in sport with AFL preliminary finals, NRL semi-finals, and the Rugby World Cup underway.

With the Ashes now complete, AFL and NRL ratings returned to their customary final’s levels, while no football on Sunday helped the Formula 1 audience to one of its highest ratings of the year.

The highest rating fixture of the weekend on both Foxtel and Free to Air Television was Friday nights AFL preliminary final between Geelong and Richmond which rated 1.135m on Seven nationally, and a further 462,000 on Foxtel.
