After a six year absence two of the world’s biggest soaps are returning to free to air television.
The Nine Network is bringing back two old favourites from September. Days of Our Lives and The Young and The Restless disappeared from our screens in 2013 amongst a blaze of headlines. The two shows ended up on FOXTEL in 2014.
TV Tonight reports Nine will screen the shows on 9GEM and 9NOW but Arena, which airs the show on FOXTEL, will retain a 90 day exclusivity period.
Channel 10 has continued to screen The Bold and The Beautiful as a lead in to the 5pm news. Viewers are so loyal to the show the network will not move the show through fear of upsetting them. In fact the show now airs twice a day on the main channel.
