SBS confirms broadcast schedule for 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup

SBS has confirmed its full match broadcast schedule for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™. Uniting some of Australia’s best sports broadcasters, SBS will offer audiences unrivalled coverage of the world’s biggest women’s football event from Saturday, 8 June.

Settle into the sidelines and get your green and gold ready, with SBS covering the biggest games of the tournament, live, free and in HD across television, radio and online. All 52 matches will be live and free on SBS Radio in multiple languages, while on TV and online, SBS will broadcast the opening match, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final, and all Matildas games.

Hosted by esteemed sports journalist, Tracey Holmes and former Socceroo Captain, Craig Foster and with exclusive analysis from ex-Matilda Joey Peters, SBS’s coverage will begin with the opening match on Saturday, 8 June from 4am* when hosts France face Korea Republic.

The blockbuster first weekend continues with the highly-anticipated premiere appearance of the Matildas from the family-friendly time of 8.30pm* Sunday night when they play world number 15** Italy.

SBS’s coverage of the Matildas’ campaign to progress from Group C under new coach Ante Milicic will also see the team face Brazil from 1.30am on Friday, 14 June, then Jamaica on Wednesday, 19 June from 4.30am. All SBS matches will feature exclusive commentary from David Basheer and former Matilda Sarah Walsh and extensive analysis live from France.
