TV Blackbox has already revealed two names taking part in the upcoming series of the Channel 10 show but now our source in the South Pacific has sent through a comprehensive list via a message in a bottle.

**SPOILERS AHEAD**

In January we reported the search was on for celebrities to take part in the 2019 edition of Channel 10’s reality show Survivor.

The documents provided to us revealed producers are looking for “well-known talent with major achievements to take part – people who are both successful at what they do and aspirational”.

Those taking part needed to be available for shooting in the South Pacific from April 29 to June 22, including travel dates.

We also learned each ‘champion’ will be paid $25,000 in what is being called an “out of pocket fee”. Presumably talent of a higher profile will have negotiated a higher fee and the winner will also receive the $500,000 prize.

The first two names to come across our desk earlier this month were Gold Olympic winner Nova Peris and AFLW player Abbey Holmes.

Our exclusive was picked up by The Daily Mail (with full credit to TV Blackbox) and The Herald Sun (with no attribution to us) among others. Channel 10 was given the opportunity to deny the accuracy of our report when approached by these publications but at no point did they deny the the names we put forward.

  1. The vast majority of Survivor fans would prefer to see average every day people being given the opportunity to star and win on the Show. How disgusting that these “Stars” have to be given money to appear. Everyone’s time is valuable.
The American Survivor is superior to the Australian one as all their contestants are on equal footing.
I love Survivor but definitely won’t be watching a show where “Stars” are not just being paid $25,000+ but have an unfair advantage.
    Shame on you Australian Survivor!

    • "The American Survivor is superior to the Australian one as all their contestants are on equal footing."

Like when Jeff Kent, Cliff Robinson, John Rocker, Jimmy Johnson, or Brad Culpepper were on?

Like when they match "Average every day people" up against groups of returnees?

American Survivor hasn’t been average everyday people in a long time and they consistently put new players in with sports talent and people with other advantages hoping then get run roughshod over.

Lastly, Everyone is given money to appear. Everyone. If the person is more desirable (famous, a sports player or a returnee) that purse goes up.
