TV Blackbox has been given two famous names taking to the jungle on the Channel 10 series. DO NOT KEEP READING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!

Why do so many leaks come out of channel 10? It’s the question executives will be asking themselves once again with news two names from the upcoming series of Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders have become public months before the new season starts.

This news comes hot on the heels of a string of leaks to this website including our story last week that 10 had renewed Dancing with the Stars.

The new series of Survivor is currently in production in the South Pacific with each “champion” being paid an “out of pocket fee” of $25,000, as revealed by TV Blackbox back in January.

Shooting is taking place from April 29 to June 22, including travel dates.

The first ‘champion’ is Gold Olympic winner Nova Peris.

Peris is a former Australian Senator and was the first Indigenous woman elected to federal parliament. While competing in the 1996 Summer Olympics as a representative of The Australian Women’s Hockey team, she became the first Aboriginal Australian to win an Olympic Gold medal.

The next ‘champion’ is AFLW player Abbey Holmes.

Holmes has been a trailblazer in the AFL women’s competition. In 2014 she became the first woman to kick 100 goals in a season and in 2012 won four consecutive premierships playing for the Waratah Football Club.

These two celebrities certainly have the athletic skill but do they have what it takes to become the ultimate Survivor? The new series is expected to launch around August this year on Channel 10 and WIN.

  1. Love you Rob but you need to be specific in your commentary to avoid misconception. Women’s AFL competition has definitely not been around since 2014!! Only two offical seasons so far

  2. Sorry Jessel but it’s you who are wrong and one several levels. AFLW has been around for THREE seasons(not 2) and women’s footy has been around for well over a decade. The 2014 season where Abbey kicked the 100 was in the NTFL and nowhere did Rob say what competition it was so he’s still correct. I’m not a fan of the show but I’ll definitely check it out to cheer on my favourite footballer 🙂 GO ABS.
