SBS On Demand will premiere a selection of highly anticipated European programming next month, offering three new drama series for viewers to sink their teeth into.

Whether you’re after chilling murder mysteries, comedic female-led television, or thought-provoking and confronting stories about the human experience; Pagan Peak, Young and Promising, and 7 Faces will keep you hooked throughout March.

New season of acclaimed Norwegian drama Young and Promising (Unge Lovende) will premiere in Australia on Thursday March 14. German crime drama Pagan Peak (Der Pass) will launch on Thursday March 21, followed by the exclusive drop of Turkish drama 7 Faces (7YUZ) on Thursday March 28.

Young and Promising season four follows three women in their 20s trying to find themselves in Oslo amongst a myriad of social expectations, ambitions and shattered dreams. The first three seasons are available on SBS On Demand.

In Pagan Peak, a gruesomely staged body is found in the Alps close to the German-Austrian border. Two detectives are sent to investigate. For German detective Ellie (Julia Jentsch), this is the first real challenge of her career; her Austrian counterpart Gedeon (Nicholas Ofczarek) though seems to have lost any ambitions in his job. Very soon, they discover more crime scenes with symbolically posed victims, reminiscent of pagan rituals. It all seems to be part of a bigger, sinister plan. Ellie finds herself under increasing pressure to understand the deranged killer’s motives so she can stop him. The hunt leads them ever deeper in the dark valleys and archaic Alpine customs – and the paranoid world of the killer.

7 Faces documents seven different yet intertwined stories of modern life in Istanbul. Each episode tells one individual standalone story as each of the characters face a major change or something unexpected in their lives which requires them to confront their biggest fear or weakness, or to step outside their comfort zone.

These three new series join a range of premium dramas coming to SBS On Demand in March, including season one of Trust Me with Doctor Who’s Jodie Whittaker (21 March), Icelandic crime drama Trapped season two (14 March), Cardinal season three (7 March), and British war epic, SSGB (28 March).

SBS fans will also be treated to ongoing episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine season six, You’re the Worst season five, and The Orville season two.
