AIRDATE | New conspiracy thriller CONDOR
Stan adds hot new conspiracy thriller, CONDOR, to their line-up of high-quality, exclusive premieres. CONDOR will premiere on Stan on Thursday June 7, with new episodes weekly, same day as the U.S.
CONDOR, from MGM Television and Skydance Television in association with Paramount Television, is based on James Grady’s novel Six Days of the Condor and screenplay “Three Days of the Condor” by Lorenzo Semple Jr. and David Rayfiel. The original film was directed by Sydney Pollack in 1975 and starred Robert Redford.
The 10-part action-thriller stars Max Irons (The White Queen, The Riot Club) as young CIA analyst, Joe Turner, whose idealism is tested when he stumbles onto a terrible but brilliant plan that threatens the lives of millions. When everyone in his office is massacred by professional killers, Turner is forced out of his ivory tower think tank and into battle with the most dangerous elements in the military-industrial complex, doing things he never imagined himself capable of.
The series also stars Oscar winners William Hurt (Captain America: Civil War, Goliath, The Big Chill) and Mira Sorvino (Falling Skies, Mighty Aphrodite), with Leem Lubany (Rock the Kasbah), Angel Bonanni (Absentia, Shots Fired), Kristen Hager (The Kennedys: After Camelot, Gotham) and Bob Balaban (Gosford Park, Moonrise Kingdom, The Monuments Men); special guest star Brendan Fraser (The Affair, Trust). Condor was penned by Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg. Smilovic also serves as showrunner, as well as executive producer alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross. Katzberg is a co-executive producer.
CONDOR is produced by MGM Television and Skydance Television, in association with Paramount TV, and internationally distributed by MGM.
Joe Turner has always been conflicted about his work for the CIA. But when something he’s discovered gets his entire office killed, leaving Joe as the only survivor and forcing him to go on the run, the theoretical reservations he’s harboured turn into all-too-real moral dilemmas. Under pressure, Joe will be forced to redefine who he is and what he’s capable of in order to discover the truth and to stop a plot that threatens the lives of millions.
