What's New In Streaming For The Next Seven Days

Streaming Guide February 23 – March 1

The Tick: Season 1, Part 2 (Prime Video, February 23)

The Olympics are almost over, and all the television is coming back! We have two new seasons of television and three weekly premieres on Stan, and that’s just the highlights. The Tick is back with six episodes to finish its first season with a second on the way. Arthur (Griffin Newman) and The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) continue their quest to take down The Terror (Jackie Earle Haley), who killed Arthur’s father. This adaptation of the irreverent comic book series also boasts characters named Overkill, Dangerboat (Overkill’s robot sidekick) and Midnight the heroic dog.

Seven Seconds: Season 1 (Netflix, February 23)

After a white cop accidentally hits and critically injures a black teenager, a north-eastern city explodes with racial tensions, an attempted cover-up and its aftermath, and the trial of the century. Seven Seconds is a powerful anthological crime drama from Veena Sud (The Killing), starring two-time Emmy winner Regina King (American Crime) alongside breakout British actress Clare-Hope Ashitey (Doctor Foster).

Ash Vs Evil Dead: Season 3, Episode 1 (Stan, February 26)

Okay, this is the first returning show with weekly episodes on Stan this week, so I hope you have some spare time to keep up with everything. Let the gore-soaked hilarity ensue as Bruce Campbell returns in the third season of Ash Vs Evil Dead. There will be blood, chainsaws, a broomstick, quips, flying body parts and that mighty chin. Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess), Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo also return to fight the good, but bloody fight. Groovy!

iZombie: Season 4, Episode 1 (Stan, February 27)

The third season of iZombie ended with a group of zombies announcing themselves to the world. How has Liv’s (Rose McIver) life changed now that everyone knows what she really is? Was Ravi (Rahul Kohli) successful in creating an immunisation for the zombie virus, and most importantly can the show just let Liv and Major (Robert Buckley) be together now that they’ve both decided to be zombies?

UnREAL: Season 3, Episode 1 (Stan, February 27)

UnREAL had a messy second season, but it’s had a long enough break that we’ve all mostly forgotten about it and are looking forward to the return of this behind-the-scenes look at a fictional dating show. UnREAL’s version of The Bachelor, “Everlasting,” has introduced it’s first female suitor, or “suitress,” creating a new set of challenges for Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and Quinn (Constance Zimmer).

Side note: UnREAL stars Constance Zimmer and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman were guest judges on RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars (also on Stan) a couple of weeks ago, and the Bachelor parody was spot-on.

The Bachelor: Season 22, Episode 10 (9Now, February 27)

It’s fantasy suites week! After you’ve watched the season premiere of UnREAL, see how Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s search for love is going now that he’s nearly at the end of his journey©. Will he choose the “quirky” and lovely taxidermy enthusiast Kendall (who is more than her hobby, but this is reality television), midwestern publicist Becca, or Lauren, with whom he said he was ‘falling deeply in love’?
