What's New In Streaming For The Next Seven Days

Streaming Guide November 2 – November 8

A.P. Bio: Season 1 (Stan, November 2)

When a disgraced philosophy professor is forced to take a job teaching AP Biology, he uses his new students to wreak revenge on the people who have wronged him in this black comedy starring It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Glenn Howerton. The second season will stream exclusively on Stan the same day as the U.S. in 2019.

House of Cards: The Final Season (Netflix, November 2)

House of Cards was Netflix’s first foray into original programming, and now it’s ending. With Frank out of the picture, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) steps fully into her own as the first female President but faces formidable threats to her legacy.

(It’s confession time, and I hope this is a safe space: I don’t really like House of Cards. The original British trilogy however, is fantastic, and you should all definitely watch that when this is over. Although I admit I’m intrigued by Claire Underwood as President – fleshing out that character is something that this adaptation did very well.)

Spicks and Specks (ABC iview, November 4)

The ABC has produced some of the most influential shows in Australia, like Four Corners, and Spicks and Specks (yes, I consider them equally influential). The ABC also celebrates Ausmusic Month every November across its television and radio stations. This year, the ABC is bringing the original Spicks and Specks cast – Adam Hills, Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst – back to our screens to kick off Ausmusic Month, and I couldn’t be more excited.

You’re the Worst: Seasons 1-4 (SBS On Demand, November 5)

One of my favourite shows is finally available to stream! A true rom-com for the twenty-first century, You’re the Worst follows Jimmy Shive-Overly (Chris Geere) and Gretchen (Aya Cash)’s unusual courtship, as they eventually figure out that they may actually like each other. He doesn’t believe in love, she’s scared of it. Along with their friends Lindsay (Kether Donohue) and Edgar (Desmin Borges), these two selfish idiots learn to let other people in – just a bit. And they also create one of the greatest weekend traditions with Sunday Funday – better than a Monday!

Inside Dame Elisabeth’s Garden (Foxtel, November 8)

This year marks the 90th anniversary of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s much-loved home Cruden Farm, and the garden she nurtured for over eight decades before leaving the glorious outdoor space for public enjoyment. World renowned landscape designer and friend of Cruden Farm, Paul Bangay enlists the help of another national treasure – Maggie Beer – to help make the 90th birthday an extra special party for friends and family. We join Maggie on her first visit to Cruden Farm, which inspires her menu for the party.
