The Nine Network will tonight premiere an NRL version of Footy Classified, a dedicated one-hour program for the rugby league finals series.
While an AFL version of Footy Classified has aired in southern states since 2007, this is the first time Nine has produced a version for the NRL.
Footy Classified – NRL Finals will go to air over four weeks, focusing on all the NRL finals action – promising “breaking news, robust debate, in-depth interviews and first-class analysis” as the final eight teams battle for a place in the 2015 NRL Premiership Grand Final.
Host, Channel Nine sports presenter Yvonne Sampson, will be joined by rugby league Immortal Andrew “Joey” Johns, Test fullback Billy Slater and premiership winner Brett Finch.
Phil Gould, two-time NRL premiership-winning coach and Wide World of Sports commentator, will also be part of the panel, with Bulldogs captain, James Graham the special guest for the first episode.
Monday, September 7, at 9.40pm on Channel Nine.
