This is the building that Watercress productions has purchased in the suburb of South Yarra in Melbourne for The Block in 2015.

News Limited reports that the 660 square metre, 3 level building currently features 12 apartments, 9 with two bedrooms and three with one bedrooms.

Each apartment has its own under cover parking spot. In total there are currently 21 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms. However its expected by the time the The Block is finished the 12 apartments will become 6.

 The building was purchased in March for a price of $5.66 Million a price that was $570,000 above reserve.

Filming for the South Yarra series will commence later this year and will air in 2015.

As exclusively revealed by this website in April, Recently retired AFL star Darren Jolly will be a contestant in the latest series of The Block. The former Sydney and Collingwood Ruckman has previously discussed his love of the show. It is understood Darren will participate in the series with his wife Deanne. The couple made headlines in 2010 when Darren changed football clubs mid-contract so his wife who was dealing with post-natal depression at the time could live in Melbourne.

The Block Glasshouse airing soon on Nine will take place in High Street Prahran and involves the construction of six split-level atrium apartments above two restaurants in a converted office block location.

It is understood Watercress Productions paid 8.25 Million on behalf of Ch9 for the three-storey 3540-square-metre building, which is located near the Chapel Street shopping zone.
