Seven has confirmed the high rating US series The Blacklist will return to Monday nights on Seven next week.

The second season of the James Spader drama will premiere at 8:40pm just 6 days after it’s US screening. New episodes of Agents of Shield will follow at 9:40pm. The move will see The Blacklist  go head to head against Ten’s new Australian drama Party Tricks when it premieres a week later on Monday the 6th of October.

In the first episode, Red continues to battle Berlin and faces a new threat from a man named Lord Baltimore. An important person comes back from the past into Red’s world. Meanwhile, Liz tries to move forward with her life after her showdown with Tom.
