Saturday marks the tenth day of competition at the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Thirty-Two Gold Medals will be decided today across 42 events in 9 sports.
It’s a massive final day for the Athletics featuring the four big relay finals, with all eyes on the world’s fastest man, superstar Usain Bolt, in his only performance on the track – the 4x100m Relay.
The Hockeyroos have their final challenge as they play for the Gold Medal tonight, and in the Diving, it’s Mitcham versus Daley, Australia versus England, in the Men’s 10m Diving event.
The Diamonds also square-off in the Netball Semi-Final and the Commonwealth Boxers go for Gold across all 13 boxing events.
Glasgow Live on ONE brings viewers Diving, Boxing, Powerlifting, Badminton, Squash and Table Tennis.
Live sport commences from 6pm AEST on ONE, with Greg Rust live from the Commentator’s Lounge for Table Tennis Semi Finals and the Badminton from 6.38pm, followed by the Women’s 3m Springboard Preliminary Dives from 7.05pm AEST.
With Mel McLaughlin at the helm, Glasgow Live begins on TEN at 8.30pm (AEST) and Australia’s Matthew Mitcham takes on Olympic Champion Tom Daley in the Preliminary rounds of the Men’s 10m Platform.
Thirteen Gold Medals will be awarded in the boxing, and the action in the ring begins from 11.00pm (AEST) on TEN, continuing right through the night, starting with the
Women’s Fly (48-51kg) Final and finishing with the Men’s Super-Heavy (+91kg) Final.
The main action on the Athletics track commences from 4.00am (AEST) on TEN during Glasgow Live with Matt White and Donovan Bailey. The Women’s Pole Vault Final is at 4.00am (AEST), followed by the Women’s 5000m at 4.07am (AEST), Men’s Triple Jump at 4.10am (AEST), Men’s Javelin at 4.20am (AEST) and the Men’s 1500m Final at 4.35am (AEST).
It’s worth setting an alarm to get up and watch the big relay events live. First up is the Women’s and Men’s 4x400m Relay from 4.50am (AEST), and then from 5.50am (AEST) it’s the big race, the Men’s and Women’s 4x100m Relay Final.
Over in Edinburg at the Diving Centre, the Women’s Springboard Finals commence at 3.05am (AEST) and Matthew Mitcham will be aiming to dive for a Gold Medal in the Men’s 10m Springboard Final from 4.30am (AEST).
It’s a busy night all round, and the Hockeyroos will be hoping to take the Gold Medal back to Australia. The Bronze Medal Women’s Hockey match starts at 3.00am (AEST) and the Gold Medal match follows from 5.00am (AEST).
There are also medals being awarded tonight in Squash, Powerlifting, Badminton and Table Tennis.
