Gold Swimming Glory: Tuesday Day 6 TV Guide to the Commonwealth Games

Tuesday marks the sixth day of competition at the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Thirty-two Gold Medals will be decided across 63 events in 14 sports.

Glasgow Live from 6pm AEST on ONE brings viewers the Athletics, with plenty of Aussies in action, plus Gymnastics, Shooting and the final day of Swimming and Cycling.

The Athletics action kicks off on ONE live from 7pm AEST with the Men’s Long Jump Qualifying and the Men’s Decathlon, followed by the Women’s Heptathlon from 7.30pm AEST, the Men’s Discus from 7.50pm AEST, the Men’s 110m Hurdles Heats from 7.55pm AEST and the Men’s 800m heats from 10.25pm on TEN.

The Swimming program draws to a close at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre with heats starting from 7.30pm including theWomen’s 400m Freestyle, the Men’s 200m Individual Medley and the Men’s and Women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay live on ONE.

From 8.30pm on ONE, Glasgow Live brings viewers the Cross-Country Cycling where the Commonwealth’s best mountain bike riders head outdoors and battle on a testing course.

Gold Medal favourite Daniel McConnell leads a strong trio of Aussies in the Men’s Cross-Country Cycling event.

From 11pm AEST on TEN, the Kookaburras take on India in the Men’s Hockey in what will be a rematch of the Delhi 2010 Gold Medal Final.

The medals in the team events for men and women in Artistic Gymnastics will be decided on TEN from 2.20am, with 2010 World Champion Lauren Mitchell in action.

The Athletics Medals begin from 3.40am AEST on TEN with the Women’s Triple Jump, the Men’s Decathlon from 3.30am, the Women’s 10,000m from 4.05am AEST, the Men’s 400m Semi-Finals from 5.05am AEST, the Women’s Heptathlon from 4.40am AEST, Women’s 400m Final from 5.30am AEST, the Men’s 110m Hurdles from 5.45am AEST and the Men’s Hammer Throw from5.50am AEST. 

On the track, Australia’s Gold Medal hopes in the Women’s 1500m lie with Zoe Buckman on TEN from 6.50am AEST.

Don’t miss Mack Horton in the pool in the Men’s 1500m Freestyle from 5.23am AEST on TEN. Aged just 18, Mack is the junior World Record holder and regarded as the best 1500m freestyle swimmer Australia has produced since Grant Hackett.

Australia should also be formidable in the Men’s and Women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relays from 6am AEST.

Also in the pool, the Women’s 400m Freestyle from 4.07am AEST, the Men’s 50m Freestyle from 4.16am AEST, the Women’s 50m Backstroke from 4.31am AEST and the Men’s 200m Individual Medley from 4.47am AEST on TEN. 

Medals in the Queen’s Prize Individual will be up for grabs from 6.45pm on ONE, Men’s Trap from 11.00pm AEST on TEN, and the Men’s and Women’s Rifle 3 Positions from 12.30am on TEN live from the Barry Buddon Shooting Range.

The Wrestling and Weightlifting finals will be live from 12.30am on TEN. 

XX Commonwealth Games, Live from 6pm (AEST) Tuesday, July 29 on ONE, continuing from 9.30pm (AEST) to 8.30am (AEST) on TEN.
