They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but for the second time in the last nine years Australia has a first round draft prospect and his name is Dante Exum.
Having grown up in Melbourne Dante has only played 23 games against top level international competition and he is expected to be drafted as high as 2nd on Friday morning. This year’s draft is drawing comparisons to 2003 (Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony) and 1984 (Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley) with a slew of franchise altering talents all in the hunt to take Cleveland’s number one pick.
