As of today the TEN, ELEVEN

TENPLAY service. An official launch will occur tomorrow (Monday).

The webpage has a look and feel very similar to the HULU
site in the US. A new iOS app has also launched this morning for iPhone and
iPads
. Apps for Windows 8, Xbox 360 and Sony Bravia TV’s are promised shortly, however at time of publishing I have been unable to confirm when an Android app
might launch.

TENPLAY is the networks new
way to allow viewers to watch shows live and on demand, the network is
promising that best of TEN, ELEVEN & ONE is yours to enjoy anytime,
anywhere. As this new website replaces all of Ten’s previous web content, it will become the new home to find information regarding all of Ten’s shows

The network is promising
that shows will be added to TENPLAY straight after they’ve been broadcast. It
will be interesting to see how well this promise is kept particularly when
daylight savings commences.

While I have been
unable to confirm what resolution videos are play at, it appears to be high
quality. The iOS app also fully supports Airplay allowing viewers to easily
stream content on the Big Screen via an Apple TV.

One of the best features
of TENPLAY is Continuous Play allowing viewers to start watching a
program on the web or mobile device and then switch devices and continue
viewing where they left off.

TENPLAY allows viewers
to create personalised playlists and track your top TV shows with latest video
alerts, and reminders for when your shows are on TV and the app. TENPLAY
includes a complete TV guide: featuring full free-to-air and Foxtel listings.

TENPLAY is also promising to deliver live news and sport events. All Eyewitness News bulletins from around the country will be streamed live and available for catchup. The site is hinting that a live stream of the 2014 Winter Olympics may occur. And Ten’s new
Breakfast program Wake Up, and Morning program Studio10 will also be streamed
live.

As reported by this site on
Thursday, as part of the launch of TENPLAY. The first episode of
Homeland will screen online via TENPLAY at 2.15pm AEST on Monday September 30. This
feed will be 15 minutes behind the US West Coast Broadcast. The episode will
then screen at 8:30pm on TEN.
