The AFL Players Association has awarded the
prestigious Grant Hattam Trophy for excellence in sports journalism to the team
at Saturday Night Footy for the #DISCOVERED series – and in particular a story
on young GWS Giants star Jeremy Cameron.

The presentation was made at the 2013 AFL
Players‟ MVP Awards held at Peninsula, Docklands, Tuesday night.

#DISCOVERED is a weekly segment in Seven’s
Saturday Night Footy pre-game show which focuses on a player’s life away from
football.

Seven‟s Head of Sport, Saul Shtein, said:
“This is fantastic recognition for the Saturday Night production team, and in
particular Chris Jones, Richard Hughes, Mitch Finlayson and Jodie Fullerton.

“Discovered‟ is about looking at players
off the field and finding out what makes them tick. So to be acknowledged in
this way by the players themselves is particularly satisfying.”
