New kid on the block, spaniard Marc Marquez, looks like the man to beat as we enter the second half of the season. it is a huge ask to win the title in your first season. the last man to manage it was Kenny roberts in 1978, but Marquez seems capable and has exceeded all expectations, finding himself at the top as he settles into MotoGP life.
