Are you ready for The Undoing? The much-anticipated new thriller drama arrives this week. A brutal murder casts ripples through well-to-do New York, especially for Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman) and her husband Jonathan (Hugh Grant). It’s deliciously addictive viewing.

A series that has already been a hit with viewers is Teen Mom Australia the homegrown version of the popular franchise. It launched last year and now we’re set for a brand-new season. The three young mothers we met are all back and joined by a new face, too. And there’s more reality on the cards with a fresh season of Southern Charm airing.

Boo! With Halloween on Saturday, this week is full of scary fun for all ages, from super-cute cartoons on Nick Jr, and a collection of The Simpsons’ famous horror episodes, to much more grown-up fare such as It: Chapter Two and Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island, as well as some Halloween-themed real-life crime on Investigation Discovery, and more!

Don’t miss tonight’s first episode of the much-anticipated murder thriller The Undoing

The Undoing – FOX SHOWCASE, EXPRESS at 12pm, ENCORE at 8.30pm

Nicole Kidman reteams with her Big Little Lies writer David E Kelley for this gripping murder mystery set in high society New York. Kidman plays Grace Fraser, a doting wife and mother, and a prominent therapist, whose life is turned upside down when her family is caught up in a shocking death. She’s joined in the cast by Hugh Grant, Donald Sutherland and Lily Rabe.

Paul O’Grady’s Little Heroes, s2 – LifeStyle, 8.30pm

In the second season of this heartwarming series, Paul O’Grady meets five-year-old Great Ormond Street Hospital patient Daniel, a determined little boy who – after a seemingly innocuous bang to his knee while playing at home – is confined in a wheelchair after being struck down with juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Boofest – Nick Jr, 8am

Settle in for six frightfully fun days featuring ghostly themed episodes of series including Blue’s Clues & You!, Ready Set Dance, Corn & Peg and Ryan’s Mystery Playdate. In need of last-minute Halloween costume inspiration? If Blue and Magenta don’t come up with an idea that suits, Ryan and his guests are sure to pull something out of the fancy dress bag!

Dirty Mudder Truckers – Discovery Channel, 9.30pm

It’s the series which takes you into the world of mega-truck racing, as we follow The Dirty 7 crew from Florida as they take on competitors from around the US, starting tonight with Team South Carolina. In this ultimate challenge, the trucks will be pushed to the limits out in The Pit. Who will claim victory and who will be left with mud on their face?

The young women on Teen Mom Australia are back for more – with a new cast member, too!

Teen Mom Australia, s2 – MTV, 8.30pm

After making a big splash with its debut season last year, Teen Mom Australia is back! Ammi, Sita and Georgina are ready to return and share their motherhood journey. And this time they’re joined by a new face – Tanisha. She’s co-parenting Bianca, but also navigating her sometimes rocky relationship with her own mum. All four will have plenty on their plates – so come along to witness a new season of tears, tantrums, laughs and love.

16 and Recovering – MTV, 10.30pm

This eye-opening four-part fly-on-the-wall docuseries follows the students of a dedicated recovery high school in Boston, Massachusetts as they work towards graduation while dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues, and also highlights the work of the teachers who go above and beyond to help them achieve their goals.

Wild Great Britain: Animal Tales – National Geographic Wild, 8.30pm

You won’t need a plane ticket for this overseas adventure: simply grab a comfy spot on the couch to take flight from the Cornish coast to the Shetland Islands, as National Geographic’s cameras capture some of Great Britain’s most exquisite wildlife up close and personal in this exploration of nature’s natural wonders.

Inside America’s Secret Missions – National Geographic, 8.30pm

Conspiracy theorists, this one’s for you! This must-see special uncovers the numerous top-secret operations and clandestine interrogation sites the United States of America has invested in over the decades – and exactly what led to them finally being revealed to the general public.

Guerilla Gold Rush: The Spoils of War – National Geographic, 9.30pm

Colombia is a country that bounced back from civil war, only to fall under its evil grip once again – this time fuelled by a desire to possess its land and mine for gold. National Geographic Explorer correspondent Mariana van Zeller reveals how Colombia’s nimble criminal underground will always find a way to succeed.

Historian Jon Meacham leads the documentary based on his book The Soul of America

The Soul of America – FOX SHOWCASE, 8.30pm

The current US election has been one of the most fraught in recent history, with many issues coming to the fore, from the Black Lives Matter movement to socio-economic divisions. Fittingly, this HBO documentary, based on Jon Meacham’s 2018 book, looks at past civil rights battles, from the incarceration of Japanese-Americans after Pearl Harbor to the fight for women’s right to vote, to see how they inform what’s happening right now.

Outside the Bubble: On the Road With Alexandra Pelosi – FOX SHOWCASE, 10pm

Journalist and filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi embarks on a road trip across the US to engage in conversations with everyday people from diverse backgrounds to get their perspective on a variety of issues, in this HBO doco. She visits those from all ends of the political spectrum, as well as those from areas affected by notable tragedies, such as Sutherland Springs, Texas where a mass shooting at First Baptist Church occurred in 2017.

The King of Staten Island – Store

This semi-autobiographical film is the work of director-producer Judd Apatow (Trainwreck) and comedian Pete Davidson, whose firefighter father died responding to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In this movie we meet Scott (Davidson) who lost his dad under similar circumstances and lives a slacker lifestyle. When his mother begins dating another firefighter, tensions arise between all three. A compassionate, gentle and very moving film.

Henry Danger – Nickelodeon, 6pm

Nickelodeon’s kid-friendly 13 Nights of Halloween stunt continues its run of scary episodes from some of its biggest shows and tonight it’s Henry Danger’s turn. When Henry’s (Jace Norman) sister Piper (Ella Anderson) is kidnapped and whisked off to an alternate dimension, it’s Henry’s alter-ego Kid Danger, along with Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) to the rescue!

Doom Patrol, s2 – FOX8, 8.30pm

It’s time for the season two finale, where we find our Doom Patrol pals having to take on the imaginary friends they had as children, while Dorothy (Abi Monterey) will finally confront The Candlemaker (Lex Lang), and Jane (Diane Guerrero) makes a very surprising discovery. It’s the scariest time of year, so creep yourself out with horror hit It: Chapter Two

The Property Brothers: Forever Home, s3 – LifeStyle Home, 8.30pm

Drew and Jonathan Scott continue to make dreams come true in tonight’s episode of Forever Home, as they help Jeremy and Sam upgrade their house so they can remain close to family. With the assistance of the couple’s spirited daughter Avery, the boys get to work on their reno magic.

It: Chapter Two – Foxtel Movies Thriller, 8.30pm

Halloween Horrorfest! ramps up on Foxtel Movies tonight with the frightening sequel to Stephen King’s It. Chapter Two sees the adult Losers Club – played by James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader and more – revisit their hometown to confront the evil Pennywise. Bill Skarsgård as the clown with a taste for murder is guaranteed to give you nightmares.

Archer, s11 – FOX8, 8.30pm

This season of adult animation Archer saw our hapless hero (voiced by H Jon Benjamin) awake from his three-year coma. Archer is now a few years older, but unfortunately none the wiser. We’ve enjoyed an action-packed season of espionage, double-crossing and power blackouts, but it all comes to an end in tonight’s delightfully chaotic finale.

Outback Opal Hunters, s5 – Discovery Channel, 7.30pm

As the opal hunting exploits continue tonight, some teams are having better luck than others. Boulder Boys Aaron and Ron blow time and diesel draining floodwaters from a 20-metre deep pit in Queensland, while in Grawin, NSW, Rod from The Bushmen is under pressure after using his wife’s opal ring as collateral to purchase a desperately needed battery. But in Lightning Ridge, NSW, Pete and Sam are expecting big rewards from one single stone.

American Horror Story: 1984 – BoxSets, from 10am

Another terror treat for the Halloween week is this marathon of the most recent season of Ryan Murphy’s terrifying anthology series, which takes us to a very familiar horror setting – the summer camp! Fans of classic slasher flicks of the 1980s will be enthralled by this homage to the genre. Expect hilarious outfits, teased hair, lycra… oh, and a killer on the loose!

It’s time to head back to Charleston for all the fly-on-the-wall drama of Southern Charm

Jersey Shore Family Vacation, s4 – MTV, EXPRESS at 11am, ENCORE at 6.30pm

All but one of the Jersey Shore extended family (we’ll miss you, Snooki) return for another vacation. As with everything in 2020, this trip will be a little different with filming happening under a strict quarantine bubble. So there’s nowhere to hide from the fist-pumping and GTL, and with the gang in such close quarters, it’s the ultimate recipe for drama and disaster.

Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island – Foxtel Movies Premiere, 8.30pm

Get in the Halloween mood with a trip to Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island. More chilling than the 1970s TV series it’s inspired by, this horror follows a group of unsuspecting guests invited to a mysterious island under the pretence of living out their ultimate fantasies. But things quickly take a turn for the worse. Follow this up with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark at 10.20pm, where teens in a small rural town discover a collection of terrifying tales that come to life.

Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, s2 – HISTORY, 7.30pm

If you’re not already aware of this intriguing docuseries, you’ll be hooked instantly on its unprecedented examination of a top-secret government study into UFOs. In an all-new instalment tonight, airline pilots recount near-misses with unidentified flying objects that had them fearing for the safety of their passengers. One even claims to have photographic evidence.

Surviving Joe Exotic offers hope about some of the animals rescued from the ‘Tiger King’

Surviving Joe Exotic – Animal Planet, 8.30pm

Self-proclaimed as a “gun-carrying redneck”, Joe Exotic became a household name after the Tiger King docuseries exposed the complicated rivalries and criminal underbelly of big cat breeders. This new documentary looks at the larger-than-life Exotic and his crimes against the animals in his possession. At times hard to watch because of the animal neglect, it’s a dark saga you can’t look away from.

Bledisloe Cup Game 3/The Rugby Championship: Australia vs New Zealand – FOX SPORTS, LIVE PLEASE NOTE: Final date/time TBC (check EPG closer to date for full details)

Talk about one unmissable event! It’s time for the third Bledisloe Cup game between our Wallabies and the visiting All Blacks, live from ANZ Stadium, and this game does double duty, also! It’s the first in the new Rugby Championship fixture. Expect twice the excitement when this clash gets underway!

It just wouldn’t be Halloween without a Treehouse of Horror special episode of The Simpsons. Well, this year you’re in for a real treat, with all of the animated series’ spooky escapades airing today! Settle in for a full 30 episodes of scary Springfield shenanigans and get set to scream… with laughter!

The recent real-life scandal in which wealthy parents paid to get their children into prestigious US colleges has been a gripping read. And while the two women at the centre of this film who are happy to break the law to get their offspring into an enviable university are largely fictional, their story is grounded in the shocking truth. Stars Penelope Ann Miller and Mia Kirshner.

Spy Cat – Foxtel Movies Kids, 6.30pm

Here’s something for younger viewers. In this fun animation, we follow house cat Marnie, who loves watching crime shows and decides it’s time she cracks down on some thieves. She soon falls in with three other ragtag animal mates as they go on a road trip to find the culprits!

Wentworth s8 marathon – FOX SHOWCASE, from 8.30am

This year saw the arrival of the penultimate season of the award-winning Wentworth, and, like each preceding instalment, it was one wild ride! If you missed it – or want to revisit – catch all episodes today. This chapter saw the return of Pamela Rabe, some brilliant new characters, and plenty of shocks!

Formula 1 Championship: Emirates Emilia-Romagna (San Marino) Grand Prix – FOX SPORTS 506, LIVE 9.30pm

Good things come in threes, and this is the final of a trio of Grand Prix events to be held in Italy in the revised 2020 Formula 1 calendar, and sees the San Marino region host its first F1 since 2006, in the town of Imola at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo finally got some podium time in Germany recently, coming third – will we see him up there again this time?

Eat Well for Less NZ – LifeStyle Food, 8.30pm

It’s the final instalment of the debut season of the series which finds Kiwi restaurateur Ganesh Raj and chef Michael Van de Elzen helping those who could use advice on eating better and smarter. Tonight, they visit the Liu household and find that it’s the kids who decide what gets bought in the weekly food shop. No wonder they’re spending a small fortune! Catch previous episodes On Demand.
