JOHANNA – COLLETTE DINNIGAN

What do you get when a renowned Aussie fashion designer enters the world of interior design and transforms a rustic old barn in the New South Wales’ Southern Highlands? Pure magic, as Johanna is about to find out! She’s visiting Black Barn, a luxury country retreat designed by Collette Dinnigan. Just like her clothes, Black Barn is full of style down to every impeccable detail. Johanna’s catching up with Collette to take a look around and find out more about her life now that she’s left the fashion world behind.

ADAM – HOW TO SHARPEN YOUR CHISEL

If you thought that new chisel you just bought was ready to go, think again. It needs to be sharpened and Adam will show you how to get it right, so you’ll be chiselling more precisely than ever before.

FAST ED – SWEET POTATO PIE-ISH

Bundaberg, in central Queensland, is full of farmers and producers growing the best quality fruit and veg. But if you ask Fast Ed, there’s a humble root vegetable that outshines them all: the sweet potato! This week, Fast Ed’s meeting some farmers who have made growing sweet potatoes their speciality. And he’s putting their produce to good use in a melt-in-your mouth dessert, sweet potato pie. With cinnamon, lemon and honey, this pie is way easier than most because no pastry is involved…but even without the pastry, it’s definitely just as delicious.

FAST ED – SWEET POTATO MASH

What side dish tastes just as amazing as mashed potato but takes a lot less time and only one ingredient to make? Sweet potato mash, of course! This week, Fast Ed’s sharing his trick to making sweet potato mash and soon, it’ll be accompanying every meal you make.

GRAHAM – NATIVES IN WINTER (WALKAROUND)

Graham is heading south of Wollongong to the coastal wine region of Coolangatta to visit a real gem of a garden. This private garden is only seven-years old but it’s already a total showstopper. Created by John Elton, a self-taught native plant enthusiast, it’s full of inspiration for incorporating native plants into your own garden. Join Graham for a look around, plus some top tips to ensure your native plants will truly thrive.

CHARLIE – TERRACE YOUR TERRAIN

First impressions count, but if you live on a steep slope, creating a beautiful garden can be all the more difficult. Charlie’s found a house with this exact problem, but instead of using the usual retaining walls, he’s going to build a terraced rockery to give this house a wow factor. After placing the large rocks in an organic pattern to not look ‘designed’, in go the native plants that are not only hardy and low-maintenance but look great too!

JULIET – MELT & POUR SOAP

Handmade soap looks and smells beautiful but, made the traditional way, it can be really complicated and time-consuming to make. This week, Juliet’s introducing you to a much simpler alternative: melt and pour soap. Not only is it a fun project to make with the kids, there are so many ways to personalise this DIY and truly make the soap your own.

DR HARRY – DAVID MANCHON: HORSE TRAINER

He may have grown up in the suburbs of Brisbane, but from a young age David Manchon knew he wanted to have a career on the land and working with horses. After honing his horsemanship skills working on cattle stations, David’s special bond with horses and his training abilities led him to the stage. These days, David shares his skills at big stadium events like the Queensland Outback Spectacular and even his own arena shows. Dr Harry is meeting David at his Tamworth home to learn more about his extraordinary career, plus a few training techniques that can apply to your own pets, too.
