The true crime docuseries will explore the harrowing legacy of one of Australia’s deadliest serial killers: Eric Edgar Cooke, who committed a series of murders in Perth in the early 1960s.
Creator and director Thomas Meadmore heads back to his childhood home in Perth, where he spends time with those closest to Cooke and his victims, including Cooke’s wife and the two men wrongly convicted of his crimes.
Describing the series Thomas Meadmore said:
“I’ve returned to Australia, the place where I was brought up, to examine an urban legend that shaped my parents’ existence, and thus me too, in ways I hadn’t realised until I shared time with those most deeply affected by Cooke and explored how the trauma of these events still live on in these people, as well as the broader community today.”
